A single berry knot being used as an alternative to the traditional basket weaving technique.

An alternative to traditional basketry techniques

Due to its versatility, the berry knot is the driving force behind this project. In this instance, its potential as an alternative to the traditional method of weaving baskets has been explored.

 

My experimentation examined density, creating a compact and sturdy fabric, that would allow patterns to be woven through it.
